Christelle Faucon, VP Sales at Agile Analog
As we approach the end of 2024 I am celebrating my first work anniversary at Agile Analog. It’s the ideal time to reflect on the company’s busiest year yet, that has been focused on meeting the needs of our growing customer base and spreading the word about our unique analog IP.
Meeting the product and support needs of Agile Analog customers is at the heart of everything we do. It has been exciting to see the surge in demand from across the world for our novel analog IP products – especially our data conversion IP and power management IP. We have also noted significant interest in our security IP, in particular for our anti-tamper solutions.
2024 has been another year of geopolitical turmoil and economic downturn. Despite some challenging times, this has ended up being Agile Analog’s best ever year for IP sales. There are some big well-known customers that we can’t mention for confidentiality reasons – but it’s great that we have been able to announce project deliveries such as XMOS.
As a result of the immense talent of our incredible technical team at Agile Analog we are building up a reputation for being a reliable and supportive long-term technology partner. Communication and collaboration are central to this. We dig deeper to fully understand and identify exactly what the customer really needs. We share our extensive expertise and experience in order to ensure that we can deliver the very best solution possible for each customer.
A key part of my job is strengthening foundry relationships and getting closer to their ecosystem customers. Agile Analog is in a truly unique position because our analog IP technology is highly configurable and process agnostic. We can automatically generate analog IP that matches a customer’s exact specifications, for any foundry and on any process. This means that we work with all the major foundries. We have been a member of the TSMC OIP IP Alliance Program and Intel Foundry IP Alliance Program since last year. This July we announced that we had joined the GlobalFoundries GlobalSolutions Ecosystem, as we continue to deliver our IP to customers on FinFet, FDX and planar processes.
Partnering with foundries gives us access to advanced technology PDKs, so that we can support the increasing number of customers who need solutions on advanced nodes. Foundry relationships also enable us to take part in foundry events. This year the Agile Analog team has attended more events than ever before - including the TSMC Technology Symposiums, TSMC OIP Ecosystem Forums, GlobalFoundries Technology Summits, Samsung Foundry Forums and Intel Connect. We have been delighted to be at these events spreading the word about our unique analog IP.
As well as spreading the word about Agile Analog IP, I continue to spread the word about the importance of encouraging and empowering female electronics engineers across the semiconductor industry. I was recently invited to share insights into my career in the semiconductor sector at a TSMC Europe Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in-house event, which was a very interesting and enjoyable experience.
I am also on the EMEA Women’s Leadership Council, part of the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI). In March I attended the first GSA WLI EMEA event - Women in Semiconductors Conference - at the GSA International Semiconductor Conference in London. Then in October there was the first GSA WLI EMEA lunch and learn event in Munich. I am proud that this organization is having a positive impact, creating a strong community that offers networking and mentoring opportunities to support the career development of women working in the semiconductor industry.
As the saying goes: ‘Time flies when you are having fun’ and that certainly seems to be true for me. The last 12 months have passed so quickly at Agile Analog. It’s really rewarding to be a member of this team on a mission to drive forward a novel technology and reshape the analog design sector. I have relished the opportunity to learn new things and enjoy working with such a great group of people. I am looking forward to another exciting and busy year in 2025 – meeting the needs of our customers and spreading the word about Agile Analog’s unique analog IP, as well as encouraging women working in the semiconductor industry.
